Maggie Valley Inn Motel - Page 1

After checking into this hotel, we discovered our sofa sleeper was slept in. We were given new sheets to put on the sofa and we are not sure by the looks of the sheets that they were clean. The front desk staff stated that even though a room was non-smoking, it may be used on occasion for a smoking room. The mattress pad was stained. The wall in the bedroom has a hole from someone punching it in. The light fixtures were new, however did not fit where the old ones were, so they put a piece of wallpaper on the edges that did not match the wallpaper that was currently on the wall. We woke up to no hot water. The "hot" breakfast consisted of grits and toast that burned when you put it in the toaster. The outside of the hotel was in desperate need of work. Please do not stay here. It is a poorly run hotel that needs much cleaning and care.

I appreciated the staff's service to the people that were staying at the hotel.

This hotel made me feel welcome: From the time of arrival until checkout, everything was centered around their efforts to assist guests.

I liked the beautiful view of the mountains. Shopping and eating places were all over.

This is a great hotel, and the staff is wonderful.

They had new management, and changes included no more breakfast bar, no paper, and a take or leave it attitude.
