Impressive hotel. As soon as you walk in the entrance you know you are in Vegas as the check in area was massive with huge TV screens.
The hotel is so big it takes forever to escape, which can be annoying after a couple of days.
Hotel room had the latest technology, including a plasma TV in the bathroom mirror! The room was immaculately clean and the bed was so comfortable.
The pool area was very exclusive. However, the opening times of the pool were a bit inconsistent, and was over crowded when it was open. There were plenty of bars and restaurants within the hotel and by the pool to suit all price ranges. In particular there was an excellent buffet- for $15 per person you could eat as much as you wanted, with foods from all over the world.
The MGM is certainly situated at the best end of The Strip at present since there is a lot of building work at the other end. MGM has access to the monorail which is better than the surrounding hotels.
Did expect the MGM to have more of a movies theme to it though. The Paris and New York hotels are much better themed inside, making you feel as if you really are in those cities.
