50 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

We loved our stay at the MGM Grand. It was our first trip to Las Vegas and staying at the Grand proved to be an excellent choice. It is well situated on the Strip. The room was comfortable and the pool complex is gorgeous. We especially loved the "river." Service was friendly and prompt. Highly recommended.

I have no idea what these people are talking about. The MGM Grand is fabulous. Easily one of the top 3 Hotel/Casinos in Vegas with the best high class bars and dream dining.

MGM is fabulous. And have you been to the pool? You people are 1) Spoiled or 2) Pretty Dense.

MGM Grand Rocks. I want to come back and stay here again and again.

For claiming to be one of the biggest hotels in the world, it felt a lot smaller than some of its neighbors (PH, Caesar's Palace, Bellagio)...though perhaps it's because the MGM Grand has more rooms and less "to do" places downstairs. But then again...that's what everyone in Vegas is looking for, right? Something fun to do! And the rooms, in comparison, are nothing to brag about. I thought my room at the monte Carlo during my previous visit was much nicer (it was also much cheaper).

Its casino just didn't have a good vibe, at least compared to others I visited and played at (Riviera, Fitzgerald's, Bally's). And the non-"bust your wallet" restaurant selections were slim. It wasn't a problem as there are thousands of places to eat at your doorstep if you're staying on the strip. I will say I was surprised to find that parking was free here...for guests or non-guests (unless I unknowingly managed to find a secret exit from the garage???). And the fact that the bell desk delivers your stored luggage to the curb and allows you to cut to the front of the taxi line (which can be quite long, I noticed) is a definite bonus...though I did feel a bit guilty about making use of that service (no eye contact with those already waiting in line is key).

This is my second time here, but after giving it a second chance, I see that I got the same as what I got last time...and from experience, I know I can get more for my money at other places.

56 year old woman with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

I stayed at MGM GRAND as part of my birthday gift to myself. Everyone was so helpful. From the people who cleaned my room(exceptional) to the pit bosses, I got the impression I was the center of attention until I realized these people give everyone the same royal treatment. The food choices were many and I tried to eat at all of them. The room was beautiful but the walls were thin, if you know what I mean but I wasn't in my room that long anyway. The gambling atmosphere was pleasant and so secure I was up all night. I was treated like a queen from the beginning to the end of my trip. My birthday trip is already paid for and yes I will be returning to THE MGM GRAND

The staff was great but the rooms in the West Wing were somewhat disappointing. Our sink constantly was plugged up and slow. The toilet clogged at one point. Housekeeping came pretty late in the day and when we requested a rollaway bed we were informed that the West Wing had a policy against them. Also, the layout of the bathroom in relation to the room was completely impractical. There was no door enclosing the bathroom area so everytime the front door opened anyone in the hallway could see into the bathroom. Bottom line: no privacy in the bathroom.
