member icon Motel 6 in shape of a pyramid -HORRIBLE!

31 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I am very UNHAPPY with my stay at Luxor. For some reason I thought Luxor was a nicer hotel, but I was mistaken. We were in Vegas for a special occasion (just got married). I made reservations online for a non-smoking room with a king sized bed ($220 per night). When we arrived, we were given a non-smoking room with two queens, on the third floor with a view of a wall. Since this was a special occasion, I called and asked for some help. They just kept repeating that their terms and conditions state that the reservation I made was just a request and they could not help me (I even talked to a manager). BTW, I waited close to 10 minutes each time I tried calling the front desk. Also, the sheets and towels smelled. I will never stay at this hotel (motel) and would not recommend anyone else to stay there either (unless it was free).

41 year old man with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

We stayed in the pyramid room on the 25th floor thinking it would be a neat view, but to our dismay, the room was very old and the view was of a highway.

The A/C was on for 24/7 and barely kept the room cool.Service at the front desk was nil. We usually stay at a Super 8, Travleodge, Days Inn, etc, etc, so we don't expect much but this place takes the cake. For the price, stay mid strip, save some cash and get a better room

37 year old woman with a moderate budget

My husband and I were so excited about our Vegas honeymoon until we arrived to find that our room wasn't the one that was reserved. We had two full sized beds. The shower head was falling out of the wall. The sewage from the room above ours was dripping down our mirror and on top of the dresser was zig zag rolling papers from a previous guest. The staff was unhelpful and the "sharks" that want you to go to their seminars follow you nagging constantly. If it was not already paid for we would have gone somewhere else.

The Luxor was beautiful upon entrance, the atrium & the entrance way are gorgeous. The hallways and elevators need and upgrade, but I guess they are renovating the entire thing anyway.

Our room was fantastic, clean, great view. However, due to the fact that we traveled on the most off season of the year (early december) we thought they might actually not charge us a fortune for an upgrade, but they did.

For me the most disappointing thing was how unenthusiastic the staff were, front desk were bored & snappy, pretty much everyone else just ignored us.

Whoever stayed in the room right before us must have had "entertainment" in his room, because workin girls continuously called & came to the room, I believe we had 7 phone calls & 5 girls knock on the door in 10 days. It actually just became comical but it was very strange.

Although it didn't bother us, it may bother others...Chris Angel was in the room next to us and they were filming Mindfreak in the hallway in the evening, so there was lots of yelling & people in the hall outside our room.

Overall its an okay place but too expensive for the service offered...if people had have been accommodating or friendly I may have stayed there again, but I pay for location & service. I wont stay there again.

This hotel was an absolute disappointment! We had reserved 2 king rooms, only to arrive and were given 2 doubles. Our room amenities (hair dryer & iron) did not work, linens smelled dirty and old, there was mold in the showers and room service in the morning took in upwards of 45 minutes daily! The pyramid itself is difficult to find your way arround and the staff (from the maids to the dealers), seemed very unappy. I always give the benefit of the doubt...but had these rooms not been pre-paid, we would have checked out after the first night an gone to the Best Western! Don't waste your time or money!
