Lord Elgin Hotel

I recently stayed at the Lord Elgin Hotel located in downtown Ottawa. The hotel itself is located in a great spot, close to everything, shopping, monuments, Time Horton's, and it is all in walking distance. In the hotel, the staff was very nice and helped me with any problem I had (I had trouble opening my door). Finally in my room, I had access to the internet (wireless), cable television and even air-conditioning. At the pool, the water was warm and the pool itself was pretty big. There was no lack of towels or anything like that.

Overall, I would love to go back here and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a hotel in the Ottawa area.

I was impressed by this hotel and its staff. Courteous, professional check-in, great room, the bed is a little firm but comfortable, the a/c is cold, good tv channel selection, the restaurant is superb, the food is outstanding. The staff is very professional and courteous. The location of the hotel is very centric in Ottawa, close to everything. There's tons of things to do within walking distance. Definitely recommended.

We were recently attracted to the Lord Elgin in Ottawa. This was a very wonderful place. We were in a large room but we had everything we needed. The front desk was polite, and the staff was friendly. The view, our room and everything was just what we needed and I could not ask for anything better. The morning buffet breakfast was great and very mouth watering. There was a mall near this hotel and was convenient. We loved this hotel because it was adaptable and just like a lovely normal hotel that's very affordable. I recommend this hotel to many others.

I traveled to Ottawa two weeks ago for a business meeting and had the opportunity to stay at the Lord Elgin Hotel. The service of the hotel was great and fulfilled my requests and needs quickly. The staff there had at great attitude during my stay. The rooms were nice, stylish and comfortable. The bed and mattress was very comfortable as well. The hotel is located downtown Ottawa so there is a lot of things to see and do. The only downsides I've experienced during my stay is that parking is not free and the gym is not the best (compared to other hotels I've stayed in). Overall, service is what makes me coming back and I would definitely recommend the Lord Elgin Hotel!

The minute I walked in, the atmosphere was delightful. The hotel itself was extremely attractive and the walking distance between parliament buildings, and the local market was quite convenient.

Aside from the limited number of cheap parking spots, the view of both the hotel's elegance and the surrounding attractions made it worth the while. The fact the building itself is in such close proximity with tourist attractions in the first place negate the need for convenient access to parking anyways.

Besides the location and vividly inspiring building, the service was phenonemal. All the staff members were extremely courteous and approached me for help even when I didn't need it. The environment provived me with tolerance to my needs that I never experienced before such that I even had to refuse help at times.

The spa was the highlight of my stay, never before had I been treated to such a wonderful form of relaxation, the fact that I was able to enjoy my treatment in peace and quiet despite being situated with several guests in the same relative area brightened my stay.

In addition, other luxuries like cable and high-speed internet did not fall below my expectations either, in fact, it made the experience better then it had to be, this hotel went beyond my expectations.
