57 year old female with a moderate budget
Granted, I showed up tired and weary at 12:30 AM and asked for a "quiet, non-smoking room" and didn't check out the room before I paid....it was AWFUL! Torn and burned "drapes" half hanging off the rod, stained and very dirty carpet, shaky lamps, 2 TV's in the room - one worked (no remote). Bathroom was dirty with broken towel rack, smelled of urine... a few packets of shampoo were lying in the filthy windowsill. Bed had questionably clean (not) sheets and one undersized blanket. Heat was provided by an old electric heater with fabric cord and no thermostat. Two broken lamps and the one 'extra' television seemed to indicate the room doubled as storage. I gingerly used the toilet, crawled under the bedspread fully clothed, and left as quickly as I could in the morning. Should have slept in my car.

Stay in the top two suites if you go

This place is not for your average traveler.
The place is often filled with a louder younger crowd
that can not afford to stay elsewhere.
The owner is not a very clear-headed man.
The only two rooms that I will stay in are the two
"suites" up on the 3rd floor.
They are big , with cathedral ceilings.
They look like they are from the set of
"THAT 70'S SHOW".
Also, as with all hotels located on Lombard Street in the Marina District-
not all cell phones have service out there.

Not a good stay

The front desk person said that it was a “Quiet and nice room. Well, the thing is the room is not really clean, you can see all the dust on the carpet, the pillow is all mess, we even try to smell it and its really bad. So I tried to stay there because its hard to find a room for that time, especially its getting late in the evening. I went to the bathroom and saw something hanging in at the door, so I looked and checked it and guess what, it’s a pair of night dress that maybe someone forgot it.
So that time we just decided to leave because they didn't offer anything, they didn’t even ask us if we wanted to move or anything. So we left the money for them and I asked for their business card so I can tell the manager what happen but he refused to give it, he said the name is on my receipt, which is only the motel name, I asked for a person that I could talk to and he said "We're out of business cards".
Well my opinion is you're not going to last in business if you don’t know how to take care of your guests.
So when you stop by, at always check the room first!

We loved the neighborhood and the rates were great king bed for $49.00. The rooms were very clean and quiet. The front desk service was excellent.
