42 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I stayed at this hotel on a recent business trip. I'm not sure I would call it 4-star.....more like 3 to 3.5 to me. The service was good, and the rooms were fine (decent size, standard amenities), but the restaurant was awful. I'm not sure what the issue is, but our food and service were (at best) only so-so with very small portions and very high prices. It seems like they're trying to make it a high-end place, but the decor, food and service don't reflect that at all. I didn't try room service, but that menu looked much better than the one in the sit-down restaurant.

While vacationing in Denver with our dog, my wife and I found that the Loews Denver hotel offered a luxurious stay with all the amenities of a 5-star resort for pet owners. The room was lavish, spacious, and impeccably clean. The hotel staff was...

We tried them twice and unless you are a smoker, avoid this hotel. They seem to have very few if any non smoking rooms.
Also, during both our visits our Welcome gift of a bottle was only delivered after several phone calls. Loews first club is a crock, nice idea if they would follow through.

The Loews Hotel Denver is, in general, what a traveler would expect of a four-star hotel in terms of quality of service and amenities. Two incidents during our stay left a very poor taste in our mouths - one literally. The quality of room service dining was very low. Secondly, we accidentally left a coat in the room on our departure. Calls the very next day to the Hotel yielded no results: the agents took the information, promised to call back shortly and then never did. A fax two weeks later finally got a response from the hotel to the effect that they were filing a "Lost guest property" report.
Either the housekeeping staff are thieves or the hotel's process for dealing with incidents like this is seriously flawed. Or both. Failure to return calls, filing reports two weeks after the fact - I assume the fact that our booking was through Hotwire had an impact on the degree of service and customer care we were given.
