Lodge at Red River Ranch - Page 1

This lodge made us feel like we stepped into a well-to-do ranch from years gone by. Rich leather, antiques, and classical music piped through intercom system made for great ambiance. Staff/owners were welcoming and ranch scenery of red cliffs, river, buffalo and horses were spectacular. Had two meals here: breakfast - quite good, and dinner of baby back ribs that were so tender they melted off the bone. BBQ sauce was not too sweet, with just the right amount of kick - delicious! We stayed in the Anasazi room with king bed and fireplace that opened onto our own outdoor area. Room was very nice, cozy, had its own personality. Although a little on the spendy side, well worth it for the very memorable stay. Great proximity to Capitol Reef National Park which was absolutely amazing!
