I had my wedding here in October and it was almost as if the Lodge staff was trying to make my day and wedding planning EVEN more difficult than it needed to be. We had to fight them on everything!! Word to the wise-if you stay there make sure to CHECK ALL BILLS/FEES--they have suspicious and seemingly underhanded systems for billing, that in the end usually account for more money for them and less for you. Our guests booked over 80+ nights of Lodge rooms and our wedding was in the 5 digits--yet we still have been treated better at a Holiday Inn. 5 star this place is NOT and it WILL NEVER BE!!
Go to the neighboring Estancia for much better EVERYTHING including better prices!!
FYI--Despite the poor service, unfriendly staff and rudeness on all levels, my wedding was FABULOUS--but not because of the place, because of the guests!!

The most perfect room! We were right at the 18th green with the ocean in the distance! The staff is great, will do anything for you and have a good sense of humor. The pool is nice place to hang out all day. It was a 50th birthday and could not have been better! Its a little on the pricey side $550 for the golf course/Ocean view but worth it!

Excellent
I had the opportunity to stay at Torrey Pines on a business trip and decided it was a place I would like to return to for leisure. They have a wonderful restaurant, spa and -- if you are a golfer --...

If you've wanted to feel like a princess (or prince), this is a place that you will get what you want. I don't think that I have ever been treated so well, and it was not the money I was throwing around since I was part of an entourage of sorts and was not paying for anything. They did little things that made the stay far above anything else I've ever experienced, and that is saying something since I've lived out of a suitcase for the past few years. Things like the lavender spray (use before bed, you'll sleep like a baby), the very high end bath products and the attentive, but not overbearing, staff. Everyone (and I mean everyone) was so nice, accommodating and really made the trip that much better (I was with a well-known celebrity and expected them to be well taken care of, but sometimes, they get all the great service and they forget about the rest of us-that didn't happen here).
