We checked in late the evening on July 29th and immediately made a bee-line for our room. Upon arriving, we found that a city streets department crew was just getting underway with repairing a water main break 30 yards or so from our room. I asked the crew how long they anticipated they would be working and they indicated they could be there all night long using a jackhammer to break through the asphalt pavement. We immediately went back to the hotel lobby and before I could say one word the desk clerk, who was just then speaking with the construction crew boss, turned to one of his co-workers and simply said, "Put Mr. & Mrs. Ellis in the tower."
We were immediately upgraded to a suite overlooking Salt Lake City and both the Wasatch and Ochre Mountain ranges, at no additional cost.
Our stay was marked by impeccable service every time we turner our heads. The room was spotless and our housekeeper ensured it stayed that way. The hotel was gorgeous, well maintained and all employees were courteous and professional at all times. The grounds were landscaped and maintained beautifully also, adding to the overall feeling about the hotel. The food quality in both restaurants we excellent.
I will suggest this hotel to anyone traveling to SLC as this was an outstanding experience and stay for my wife and me. I should add that we were in SLC due to a health emergency with my mother and our hotel stay at Little America was absolutely stress and hassle free, a welcome element to our travel during such a stressful period.
