SET in the heart of downtown, yet off to one side, The Lilac House occupies arguably the best location of any Hotel or Bed and Breakfast on Mackinac Island. You can enjoy a quiet swing on the large wrap-around porch while reading, visiting or watching the horses, bikes and people pass by. Or if you want to get out and about, you can walk anywhere in the downtown area within five or ten minutes. Feeling adventurous, you can ride a bike or horse, or even take a carriage, to practically anywhere on the Island in a half hour or so. All rooms are double occupancy, some with private and others with shared baths.
