From the reviews I've read anyone who stayed in a one or two bedroom suite, they were satisfied, but those who got the one room facility as we did were appalled that they had to pay what they did. The bed was comfortable enough, and linens were ...

We got the name of the property from a friend who had stayed there before. We were not sure what to expect, but we were very pleased when we arrive. The property is a small building near the beach and shopping. We had a 1 bedroom unit, it was clean and comfortable. We have a full kitchen in our. We enjoyed the fact that you could walk to just about everywhere you wanted to go, the beach, shops, and places to eat and have a drink. There was a very laid back feeling at the property, which we needed and enjoyed. We hope to be back soon.

A small hotel/ vacation rental in Sarasota, on Lido Key by the Beach. The price was very cheap, and we were impressed when we arrived. It is not a big property and some of the things are self serve, like checking in, and getting additional towels, but you get a laid back place that is like having your own condo by the beach. The room was like an apartment with a kitchen and it was clean. Worth checking out.

If you wanna stay 1 block near the beach & not pay much, this is the place to stay! We stayed at Lido Islander (aka Pelican gardens) for 5 days and had a very nice time. There is a nice CLEAN pool to swim in, a shower at the pool to wash off the excess sand you bring back from the beaches, cool A/C in your room(s) and full kitchens so you can cook your own meals :)! The rooms also include TV, microwave, refrigerator, toaster & toaster oven! The bathroom was a little small and the building is kind of old & out dated but it was very cozy. I'm sure the place would look spectacular with some renovations. Don't judge this vacation rental by the way the outside looks, trust me. You will defintely get MORE for your money at this place and with the beach a 1 minute walk away, there's nothing better. I recommend this place for families, couples & singles.

We just had a little family reunion in Sarasota and stayed here. We really enjoyed our stay. There are a number of different size rooms. Different family members stayed in different sized rooms. The rooms were nicely decorated and clean and bright. The guest room was great for the couples without kids. The guest rooms, the lowest price unit, does not offer a full kitchen ( a little refrigerator and microwave was in our room) but just the basics.
My parents stayed in a 2-bedroom unit that was beautiful, it has tile floors and a great kitchen (although not large- it had granite countertops). The room had ample space with a living area and a dining area. My sister stayed in the 1 bedroom, they were able to sleep the two kids on the sleeper sofa in the living area. They really enjoyed having the full kitchen in their unit to cook breakfast for the kids. The kitchens were fully stocked with everything they needed to cook.
The weather was perfect and we spent most of our days at the beach. The public beach is only about 125 yards from the property; there is also a public pool at the beach, which the kids really enjoyed. We really enjoyed staying on Lido Key (we have stayed on Siesta and Longboat keys in the past) the beach may not be as nice as Siesta, although a lot less crowded, but there is a lot more to do on Lido Key. You are only a 5-minute drive from downtown Sarasota, and Mote Marine (the kids like seeing all the fish) and you can walk to Armands shopping area. We plan on returning next spring for another family reunion.
