2 robberies at the hotel in 1 night

This is really bad. I just got off the phone with my sister in law and she told me they robbed her room at the Legacy Grand Hotel and Suites.
My son, niece , sister in law and mother in law went to on a trip to Disney World and they stayed a Legacy. The worse part is she told me another person at the same hotel got robbed too. Even worse she said her door was locked and there were no signs of forced entry. So she was thinking it must be someone who is familia with the place.
Goodness gracious the day before they are leaving to come back home they got robbed. I am so appalled and on top of that the manager of the hotel is doing nothing to help how much worse it can get.
If there was a -0 rating that's what I would give Legacy Hotel. Some vacation.

Everything Was A Disappointment

The first day, within 3 hours, my brother's room was broken into, and my purse stolen....all of my ID in it. Within 30 minutes of stealing my purse, the thief charged $75 worth of gas on my Debit Card. The manager, Chad J Buchanan, treated it all like a joke, and gave us no consideration. He did, however, refund our money, when we left to find another hotel. We asked to see the report he filed with the corporate office, and were told that it was 'none of our business'. The hotel advertises 'security cameras'...there was only 1...outside the manager's office. We just felt that this was not important enough, to the manager...if at all. I'm trying to find an address for the corporate office(s), to notify them of the occurance. J Stalhut

Hotel Review

Overall, the hotel is great. We have stayed here before. On this visit, however, we experienced a few problems and the front desk staff was not as helpful as we would have liked. The in room movies did not work, the first floor ice machines were broken, housekeeping would not leave adequate coffee for the number of guests despite repeated written requests. On the positive side, the room was very clean, the breakfast buffet was a great value for the price, the pool was huge, the cost of the room was amazing and the location was wonderful. We would stay here again.

You're better off at Motel 6. STAY AWAY!

This place made the local Motel 6 look like The Ritz Carlton. If the rest of my party had not already made arrangements to stay at this "hotel" (if you can even call it that) I would have certainly left and made arrangements to stay elsewhere.
For starters I had to literally shoulder my front door just to get in the room. Upon entry the first thing I noticed was the front curtain was hanging down on the end closest to the door. It had been this way for so long that curtain had a black groove worn through it where the door had been hitting it upon opening and closing. If addition to the groove/rip in the curtain there was black mold and and disgusting stains all over the curtain in several places. These stains were so obvious that it was clear that they were just ignored by housekeeping. The bathroom was tiled with three different types of tiles from obvious repairs and the amount of mold growing through and around the bad caulk job was enough to make you want to lose your lunch. When I went to complain at the front desk I was offered another room which I was allowed to check out first and thankfully I did. Upon entering the room the smell of must/smoke was enough to knock you over even though this was supposed to be a non-smoking room. Upon further inspection I saw a 5"x7" hole in the bathroom ceiling that had the piece of the ceiling used to repair it hanging by a piece of caulk. I returned to the desk to let them know and they then took that room "out of service" or so they said. The front desk called later to inform us of our new room number and to have us pick up our new room keys. Again upon entering the room smelled of must and smoke which was again surprising because it was a non-smoking room. The TV in the new room had terrible reception and the AC did not work so a service tech was sent to the room. When the tech removed the front of the AC unit to reveal the filter it showed enough dirt that could choke a horse and was certainly not healthy. He then began to work on the TV and was working on it when I had to leave. I returned later that evening only to find it was no better than when I left. I called for service the next day only to have the same result. The bathroom in the new room was as bad if not worse then the original room. There was visible mold and dirt throughout. In addition to these problems the top sheet / comforters on the beds had rips and burn holes in several places. Since we were only one day away from checkout we agreed to deal with these issues since we would soon be leaving.
The Hotel has a nice set-up but is in a state of major dis-repair. The hotel does offer the use of a washer and dryer but do yourself a favor and bring your own quarters if you plan to use them. There is no change machine and
when I went to the front desk for quarters they told me they did not have any but I could go to the 7-11 down the road if I needed change. That was just par for the course here.
Do yourself a favor and pay a little more money for a better hotel and you will be much happier. My party had several rooms at this hotel and these types of problems were common in every room. STAY AWAY from the Legacy Grand ! They should have paid me to stay there.

This place is the worst hotel

i will never again stay at this hotel when i visit Florida again. we get there and we had reservations for a king size bed they gave a room with double beds. it was our honeymoon. then they refused to give us a room with the king size bed. we had made our reservation 2 months in advance. we get to the room the light over the sink didn't work, our remote for the t.v didn't have batteries, the bath tub didn't have a mat and was very slippery and we both my husband and myself almost fell but caught ourselves. someone then was having a seizure outside our room and needed a pillow for her head because she was having the seizure on the cement. i went into our room to get her a pillow. i then went around to the office to ask for a pillow and i ice bucket because we didn't have a ice bucket in our room and they never brought it to us. we went to the ice machine and it didn't work anyways.
i will never recommend anyone who is normal and clean to stay there it is the dirtiest place i have ever stayed.
