34 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Besides the beautifully decorated lobby, I was very unimpressed with this hotel, mainly because of the staff. I have traveled to a lot of hotels, five stars and under, and this is one of the first times I've ever encountered staff that was rude, immature, and very unprofessional. The majority of them had a "chip" on their shoulder and didn't seem to like their job.
No one in the hotel was on the same page; everyone had different information about rules/regulations and information of the hotel. When I asked the concierge politely why everyone was giving me different information, she gave me the "run around," and basically I ended up with no answers.
If you want a pleasant experience where the staff is kind, respectable, and fun... then this hotel isn't the best one for you. If you like interacting with rude, and immature people (not necessarily young), and leaving feeling a bit disrespected, and let down because of the experience you've just received at the price you paid...then this place is for you.
If you want good service, polite and helpful staff, or a good value, stay anywhere but the Parker Palm Springs. We actually walked out of the hotel after being mistreated by these people, and found a far better resort at a better price.

Mediocre
waited to check inpast check in time, they were supposed to call my cell when ready, did not.valet brought me the wrong vehicle(but those were the nicest employees)Safe in room had dead batteries waited forever to get it fixed.on last day wanted wake...
The kitschy, retro aesthetic is so heavy-handed that it becomes tiresome quickly. Service (particularly in the restaurant) was abominable -- incredibly rude staff, doing their jobs very, very slowly and poorly.
This hotel is overpriced and over rated.

Horrible
This hotel is overpriced and over rated. The wallpaper in the bathroom is peeling off, the shower head is the cheapest kind. For that price you should get top quality everywhere. Will never stay in it again nor reccomend it.
The perfect Palm Springs getaway for a fantasy dream date weekend. Funky fresh decor. James Bond could have stepped out of the shadows at any monent. Superior service. Everyone on the staff was professional, friendly and eager to help. Beautiful and ...
a/c was leaking water and formed a puddle on the carpet. the tub and sink wouldn't drain right. the service was bad. the bathroom didn't have shampoo nor hair conditioner either. the pool was great. i wouldn't stay here again.
