My boyfriend and I stayed here during the freezing winter and unfortunately for us, the heater was not working optimally. It was already late so we decided to leave it. The beds were comfy, but the bathroom was a little dirty and had a poor appearance. I was a little disappointed by the decor of the hotel (communal areas and the room itself), considering it's supposed to be a relatively upscale hotel.
On the other hand, the staff were very helpful. If you are new to Montreal, be sure to ask them for dining advice (they recommended Reuben's and it was great!).

I visited Sheraton Hotel during the summer of 2005, on a city coach bus tour. The Hotel is more upscale then Holiday Inn which is not too far away from Sheraton. Sheraton hotel was very good, it was slightly more expensive but some of the luxury options are definitely a plus. There is a fitness center and a sauna located in the hotel, for the people interested in such services. The actual hotel is located in midtown Montreal but very close to downtown Montreal, there are many entertaining places with in walking distance. Everything from bars, clubs, subway and shopping malls. The Hotel has good staff and it is very clean and organized. The offer good breakfast menus at the buffet, I suggest you get breakfast as a part of your overall Hotel deal as it's quite good. I didn't encounter any problems at all with the rooms or services, if it wasn't for the slightly higher price then I would recommend this to everyone.

The Sheraton Hotel of Montreal was most certainly at least a decent hotel by my standards. Everything in my room was always cleaned and fresh, I was there for an entire week last April, and every day it was cleaned. The downtown location was good, and there are restaurants and shopping areas within reasonable walking distance. I would suggest leaving the hotel and visiting a nearby restaurant, because the in-hotel restaurant isn't that great (very busy, kind of small). I enjoyed the pool, which was never busy when I was there, and our TV and free High-Speed Internet worked just fine. My only warning is that elevator waits can be long because of the size of the hotel. Overall, it was a good value for what I got.

The room was fine and what I'd expect from Sheraton. Bathroom was nice and clean too, although nothing fancy. The location is good (not great, but downtown Montreal is walkable).
The elevator wait can be long, but that's somewhat expected from hotel that size.
Their breakfast area is not able to handle large groups (40+ people), as their waiters were frantically running around with 2 pots in their hands. One of them spilled hot water from tea pot on one of us and didn't even apologise. We had to go, so didn't have time to speak to the manager there.
While I would recommend the hotel to stay if you can get it at a good rate, eat your meal elsewhere, as Montreal got plenty of great food choices.

Excellent
From my experience in the last six summers that I spent in Montreal, I found out that Le centre Sheraton is absolutely the best five stars hotel to stay at in Montreal because of its service, staff, and location.

Horrible
This hotel was way too high priced for the room. The shower had mildew all over, and the double bed was not as big as a full size bed, and certainly not big enough for 2 peoplecomfortably. There was nothing in the room regarding any services, or...
My friends and I went to celebrate a long weekend. Mind you we're a younger crowd, so we found the hotel was a but farther downtown then we had hoped however, we walked mostly everywhere. The rooms were perfect and the hotel lobby is really...

Okay
I was disappointed by this hotel. I didn't feel it was what a 4 star should be. Location is great. Hotel lobby was nice, but the halls and the actual room were nothing special. In this day and age, Internet ($15/day), Local calls ($1.49) and...
