I have been to Taos twice. Both times I stayed in the Laughing Horse Inn. It is a bed and breakfast and more. The rooms are themed, cute but authentic. You smell wood burning incense and feel like you are camping but you aren't. The people are...

An odd out-of-the-way place that's still not far from downtown Taos. Not for everybody, perhaps, but great for those looking for an experience and not just a place to sleep for the night.
An eclectic piece of the old Taos - community kitchen, organic breakfasts, pet friendly. Comfy 1887 adobe that was once the haunt of Georgia O'Keefe, D.H. Lawrence, even Jerry Garcia.
