This was our first visit to San Francisco to see our son, so I wasn't sure about location or about hotels. I selected this based on location. I must say the location is perfect, not far from everything. The hotel personnel could not have been...

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They took just a moment to explain the available evening wine and snack and breakfast for the next morning and who to ask if we needed anything at all.

We loved our stay at The Cartwright Hotel. The location was great for first timers like ourselves. It was nice being close to the cable car line and many fine restaurants.
The service was excellent from the front desk to the concierge. ...
