Landmark Inn Pikeville Motel - Page 1

Well, this is one of the best places one desires to chill out.

Couldn’t get into the restaurant it was closed. Price I paid for the room wasn’t worth it.1/2 the pop machine didn’t work. I looked at the prices for the bar/restaurant holy crap that much for a motel. Must have been made of gold. I travel through Pikeville often first and last time I will stay at the landmark inn.

My husband and i were in town for the motorcycle run from the harley davidson dealer. When we got up to leave Sunday morning our tire on our bike was flat and so were 4 other motorcycles. When i called to get a room 2 months in advance they told me it would be 54.00 and it ended up being 60 some dollars. Housekeeping wasn't very good at there job either there were die flies in the bathroom. If we were to go back to Pikeville we will not be staying at the Landmark Inn. We heard that they have a bad history of people stuff getting stolen and damage.

My wife and I stayed here because we were in town for some business. We did not know there was a lounge upstairs. After hearing the music we thought we would just run up and check it out. We don’t usually make it a habit to go to clubs, but when we went in we were so surprised at the music that this man was playing. We are planning a trip back sometime this fall and we sure hope the same musician will be playing there.

In June, 2007 will be our sixth stay of four days each during Hatfield-McCoy festival.

It's not the Hyatt/Bethesda, but it's not $250/night. This is Appalachia, easy going lifestyle, wonderful local folks and nothing fancy. Other family members stay here, and some McCoys, too.

The hallways may reek of stale smoke on some visits (the "maid" service), but the non-smoking rooms are okay.
