The carpet in the room(s) was so old, dirty and stained (and should have been replaced three or four years ago). My wife and I were scared to walk on the carpet with our bare feet!
And my wife was not pleased with me for booking this hotel, and we were much too tired from traveling around that day to take action and go to another hotel (it was already 9 PM at checked in).
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE..,..We even changed rooms with the same room conditions. It is shameful that Kayak supports a facility with such poor standards.

Good
WE have a family of 5 kids, you can't beat a room set up like an apartment with a kitchen, bedroom and living room. The only thing that would have made it better if the heater worked.

The woman at the front desk called our room twice because she felt our children were being too loud at 3:00 in the afternoon. She yelled at our children, and yelled at my husband to "control your animals". Then she refused to refund our money for...

Okay
While the room was clean, it was very outdated, especially in the bathroom. For the price you pay, mostly due to the location, you would expect a couple of modernized items. Pool was...

The location was excellent and the staff friendly. Smoking was permitted, there was convenient parking, no hassles, and everything worked. My advice for others is that this is the place to stay if you plan to spend the day walking or riding around, looking at redwoods, beaches, etc. and are using the motel to relax and sleep.
You were left alone but treated in a friendly manner. The coffee was good, the breakfast room was pleasant, and people talked to each other.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Lanai Lodge.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
