We had a wonderful lake view from our room. The pool is fantastic. The staff seemed friendly. There were some drawbacks, though. There were huge cobwebs on the walls and ceilings in our room. The bathroom toilet was filthy. As far as dining,...

We were in a large group and several of our group members were not given a room even though they had confirmation numbers. Customer service was terrible, made up of mostly young unexperienced (and obviously poorly trained) front office staff. I also found my room open along with several others OPEN while the housekeeper was down the hall cleaning other rooms. I was appalled and outraged over how easily someone could have come into my and the other's rooms and stolen valuable items. The response of the housekeeping supervisor was indifferent. When I arrived in my room the trashcan had used q-tips, gum and soap. The balcony was terrible as it overlooked the parking lot and the balcony wall was much too high anyway. One other thing, the wait staff in the restaurant was also poorly trained and ill equipped to deal with the lunch hour rush. We were even offerred to go to McDonald's by this one wait staff. If I had a choice, I would not return.

Romantic in Austin Texas. I was pleased with the hotel, but just a tad bit pricey, we paid $per night and were charged for the local phone calls which I thought was a bit cheesy.
I am very likely
to return to the Lakeway Resort and Spa.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The location was great and scenic. The rooms were large and very nice. Tourists should prepare to enjoy their stay and ask for a room with a view. The balconies are too nice not to use.
It’s hard to separate the hotel from the retreat, but all the appropriate resources were available. The rooms were conducive for visiting. The bar had great presence, but was not overly loud. They had great food.

Very nice rooms with wonderful sunset views of Lake Travis. Exceptional service; just what you expect, but don't always experience, at a luxury resort.
