Horrible
I visited Lakeview 2 years in a row for a conference. The first year there was a mixup with our room and they upgraded us to a condo - we lucked out! The condo we stayed in was a bit out of date but it was spacious and clean. The second year I...
We went here for a wedding and they screwed up our reservation for my parents. Offered no help in resolving it. Then the TV blew-up in our room and filled the room with smoke. My pregnant wife and 1 year old son were standing in the lobby when I...

Mediocre
Not what we had expected. Toilet got blocked and overflowed. It took over three hours to get this rectified and cleaned up and would have taken longer if I hadn't kept on at them. Sports Bar service was awful - young waitresses not interested in...
We were very disappointed with the accomdations. The condo was disgusting. It was in disrepair and dirty. The furniture was from the 1980's and it appeared to not have been cleaned since then. The icing on the cake was the shower doors unit...
I just returned from a three night, four day golf getaway (with a group of four friends/golfers) at the Lakeview Golf Resort. I was rather concerned prior to arriving, having read many, many, terrible reviews. Much to my relief, our rooms were...
50 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We expected a golf resort and that is what we got. The front desk were very helpful and processed us promptly and well in advance of the 3pm check in time so we could change before our tee time. When we asked for a late check out time so we could clean up before we drove home again not a problem. The food in the Sports bar was perfect for a group of golfers and the breakfast buffet was also very good and the service was excellent in both restaurants. The rooms were average, very clean but could have had a bigger TV. The golf was better than we expected, great greens and a very challenging layout. I found that I had to use every club in my bag and the terrain made me try shots that I was using all of my imagination as well.
All we did was golf eat and sleep which is what we set out to do, and if the Spa package is just as good and the staff as helpful then it would be the perfect place for a pair of couples to go. The golfers would be very pleased and the women would be pampered and pleased when the men returned for a great dinner, and that is for sure Almost Heaven.
Great if you love to golf...

Good
We stayed in a Condo (2 bed/2.5 bath) which was old and outdated, but clean.
We played both the Lakeview and the Mountainview golf courses, the former costing twice as much. I highly recommend both, but if you can only play one, play...
NEEDS TO BE UPDATED GOLF WAS GREAT VERY FRIENDLY STAFF.WILL RETURN.BEDS VERY OLD AND SOFT.BAR WAS VERY NICE OUT SIDE DECK WAS FUN!!NOT AS BAD AS ALL THESE REVIEWS SAY.
My husband & I stayed at the resort 3/29/08. Robinson Run Mines a part of the Consolidated Coal Company had won the Liv Ireland Award for being one of the safest mines in there company. We arrived at 3pm which was check in time. We registered at the desk & was given our keys to suite 200 that we had reseved 2 weeks earler. We opened the door and the room had not been cleaned. Bed umade, dirty towels everywhere, garbage still in wastebaskets & dust on the T.V. stand. Called the front desk they said they were running behind, waited1/2hr. no maid sevice. My husband went to get a maid and 1/2 hr. later they came to clean the room. The next morning tried to get room service and they never answered the phone.
