The La Serena Inn is located only 2 blocks to the waterfront and many of our rooms have views of the Bay or Morro Rock often referred to as the Gibraltar of the Pacific, which rises up 576 feet out of the bay. We offer several options of room types to fit any budget. Every room has a microwave, refrigerator, in-room coffee and tea, hair dryer, cable TV with HBO and free wireless high speed internet. Join us every morning for a complimentary continental breakfast. In the evening we serve cider, tea, cookies and snacks. All rooms are accessed via interior corridors and have been furnished with your comfort in mind. Our interior decorators out did themselves in our suites with extraordinary design and accessories. Treat yourself with a stay in one of our beautiful and spacious rooms that would be perfect for a romantic getaway. Each suite has a private balcony with table and chairs where you can enjoy the view of the Bay or Morro Rock. Suites include sofa, fireplace, writing desk and a large vanity area with two sinks and separate shower and tub areas with 4 star amenities complete with terry cloth robes. In our roomy deluxe rooms with designer furnishings, you will find either a charming four-poster King bed or 2 Queen beds, a beautiful armoire along with table and chairs. Deluxe rooms have a private balcony with a view of either the Bay or Morro Rock. The standard rooms at the La Serena are every bit as nice as deluxe rooms at many other Inns and very popular with groups. They are also very roomy and attractive.

i've stayed at the la serena twice and had a delightful visit each time. no one was rude, busy at times but never rude. however, if i had paid anywhere near the $200+ per night that they are currently charging, i would have been very very displeased with my visit.

The young ladies in the lobby were not friendly. There was a car show in town the night we had booked and we had a good rate. They said our reservation had been cancelled. (By Who?) But they had a more expensive room available if we wanted to pay...

You can make a reservation months in advance - and when you arrive you find that they gave YOUR room (that you had a reservation for for months, confirmed and all) to someone else who just showed up...
All I did was call in to ask about room availablity, and boy was the receptionist rude. It was as if I she couldn't be bothered with me. Customer service is a biggie with me. I won't be visiting this hotel due to rudeness.
