La Quinta Sweetwater Hotel - Page 1

I stayed here for 2 weeks in Sept and Oct 2007, I like the king rooms and the hot breakfast. The place was great for me to work from, but my wife would have thought it needed a little cleaning. I had three different rooms during my stays, all of which the shower tub failed to drain properly. Other than that the rates were a little on the high side compared to other motels I stay in on a regular basis. It's the best deal in Sweetwater TX for the Price 88.00 a night.

My expectations for this hotel were high because of the reviews I had read on several web sites. I also have high cleanliness standards. One review said it was refurbished in 2002 or 2003? Boy what a disappointment! This place is old and it shows. The room just seemed dirty and not fresh. The windowsill was filthy.

There was some type of damage to the wall in a few spots (water, peeling paint or something) that they had tried to paint over, yuk! The bathroom door rubbed on the toilet as you closed it, and there were little black ants on the floor. But the bed was comfortable enough! There is a restaurant in the hotel and it was just as bad. The front desk personnel were very personable, but it just doesn't make up for sleeping in an old dirty room.

This hotel made me feel welcome: I was just another person giving them money.
