La Quinta Resort and Club Hotel - Page 1

The La Quinta Resort is the place to stay. Beautiful and private but plenty to do and see. Request a Casita with a outside spa and include a breakfast for two. The small breakfast costs $68 so it is well worth it to include it in the small registration fee. A definite return trip is planned next time we are in the area.

The La Quinta Resort is a well known Palm Springs location. I had a very nice, albeit, short stay.

My room was a short drive from the main hotel in one of the small casitas on the property. Although the room was a bit dated, it was very comfortable and quite functional. Since I was on business, I was focused on the quality of the internet connection and the water pressure in the shower.

Furthermore, I had a nice breakfast at the Twenty 6 bistro. Overall, it was a nice place to stay and I would certainly return on my next trip to Palm Springs.

We stayed here for a wedding, which made for a fun weekend. One of the great parts of the La Quinta Resort was that once we parked the car, we literally didn't use it again until we left. All the golf, pools, restaurants (and the wedding) were within walking distance. That made for a relaxing time as driving around the palm springs area can be reminiscent of driving in LA traffic, at peak times.

The resort is comprised of a lot of small, stand-alone buildings (our "room" was one of 2 units in a small building - see my photo). So, the resort is a sprawling place and feels more like a vacation rental area than a hotel or typical large resort. There are something like 41 pools on the property, giving you quiet away from kids if you want it, or a fun and busy scene at the main pool.

The resort was modernized I'd guess about 10-15 years ago, so some of the things are a little rustic, like the doors in our room and the windows, but perhaps they are going for that look, and it didn't bother me or interfere with the stay. Our room was quiet and spacious, especially the bathroom. I appreciated the free high speed internet access in our room, which I connected to with no problems.

The golf courses are very nice, and expensive! but I would recommend them highly. The practice facility and range are great, and we played the Dunes course which was challenging but fun, and we didn't wait once (which is rare for a resort course.)

My wife used the spa and said the facial there was okay (a B+), but the services were very expensive (her facial was $135 or so.) The coffee shop was great in the morning, and the restaurants provided great food and quick service.

All in all, we had a great time and I think you would too!

An additional charge appeared on the billing. It was a hassle getting it straight.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: The ambience and the desert environment made me feel relaxed.

We stayed at La Quinta in the Palm Springs area. This was a nice all centralized resort that included all the amenities I require. I was disappointed in the one meal I ate, the French toast for breakfast was overdone. The room was spacious. Not many shops and the local scenery are within driving distance of the resort.

This hotel made me feel entertained: The trip was for business and we had several meetings to attend. The meetings were well prepared and the breaks contained beverages. Also, we had a retirement party of one of our group. This was a fun time.
