The easy access to the beach is ideal for kids. The pool area is very nice. Breakfast was a nice addition. The rooms are adequate. The price is a bit high.

I did some research on line about S. Padre, the food and lodging. Not being from Texas, it was difficult. We arrived on Father's Day at the La Quinta, and had a direct ocean front room. We then moved to a balcony room. We had decided to stay 3 nights, but ended up staying 5 nights. The beach access is fantastic, the rooms were clean, bright, comfortable and had a spectacular view. The price is good for what you get. There is no need for any more online searching. We will be returning to S. Padre Island and staying at the La Quinta!

This hotel is in poor condition for being renovated four years ago. Housekeeping staff is very unfriendly and did a poor job cleaning the room. Lounge chairs by pool are broken and dirty. The machines in the fitness room were also out of order. We were unable to print our boarding passes for our flights because they don't have a printer available for the guest computers. This hotel is very over rated and extremely over priced.
