La Quinta Inn and Suites Salem Hotel - Page 1

We enjoyed almost everything about this hotel except for the beds and the smell in the hallways. The beds are entirely too small and both of the beds in our room squeaked upon every movement. The hallways near our room had a strange smell and while we were supposed to be on a non-smoking floor, we could smell smoke in the halls outside of our room. Otherwise the service was excellent, anything we requested within reason was delivered in a timely fashion. The continental breakfast was very good and the staff was always friendly. The rooms are clean and the pool area, though nothing over the top, was clean and welcoming. The only reasons I would probably hesitate to stay here again are the fact that they do not have a fitness center and the hotel across the street does and the fact that the beds need improvement. Otherwise, we greatly enjoyed our stay here.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially in the breakfast restaurant. We were there during the flooding in the region and we had no problems at all at the hotel.

This hotel made me feel welcome: It was a very rainy weather and they had umbrellas waiting by the door for us.

The help in the breakfast room made the experience feel just like home.

It was great -- the pool did the trick. The staff was nice, but I would like greater food choice.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: There was a place at the pool for drinks. It had coffee in the morning and everything was in working order. The receptionist was very pleasant to talk to and helped us find directions.
