It’s very clean and has a very friendly staff.
This hotel made me feel respected: They had a very polite staff that uses mister or sir when addressing someone.

47 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I declared my pets, small dogs under ten pounds, both when I called the hotel to check on the pet policy and at check-in to the reservationist on duty. I asked for a room near the grassy area for the convenience of walking my small dogs. When I brought them into the hotel through the front door and into the main lobby to the elevator, they were enclosed in a fancy rolling crate. I was in town for a dog show, and a male motel employee was friendly and helped me get them into the elevator. Five minutes later, as I was getting in my room, a woman who declared herself as the manager of the hotel barged in my room without knocking, the door was opened, and started screaming about my pets not being declared and not being allowed in the room I had been given. When I insisted I had declared my pets not only at check in but when I made the reservation she called me a liar and said if I had done so I would have paid the fifty dollar pet deposit at check-in. I said no one mentioned the deposit but I would be happy to pay it. She insisted I come pay it immediately and that I was going to have to change rooms because I was not in one that was pet designated. In the elevator on the way down I was alone with this hostile manager and she began not only raising her voice to me again but getting in my face and thrusting her finger at me and telling me she did not like people with pets in her motel because they tried to sneak around and lie about them. I told her that I had been staying at La Quinta for about fifteen years due to its pet-friendly policy and was a member of the Returns Club and I had never been treated so rudely as she was treating me and that I found her physical gestures in the elevator very threatening and violent. When we got out of the elevator and got back to the front desk she went to the hotel clerk who checked me in and started screaming at her about letting me into the hotel with undeclared pets and I said to the clerk, Did I not declare my pets and asked to be placed in a room near the grassy area? The clerk was obviously scared of this abusive manager and she would not even answer. The manager said, See, you didn't declare them and you are lying I repeated to the clerk that I did declare my pets and asked her once again to verify that information to the manager. She finally said, I don't really remember. At that point the manager said You now must leave our hotel. You cannot stay here. This was in one hundred degree heat with pets in tow after my husband and I had driven five hours and had a confirmed reservation. Fortunately we went to another La Quinta across town in Oklahoma City and they had vacancy and we checked in and we and our pets were treated with the normal courtesy that we have come to expect at La Quinta for fifteen years. Obviously La Quinta is now franchising their motels to people who don't have the same friendly values toward small pets that La Quinta has built its reputation on in the southwestern United States. Rather than admit or state openly that this property is not pet friendly the owners franchisees try to pretend that they do allow pets when they don't really want them on the property and will go to any length to prevent people with pets from staying there, including abuse and violence. I travel with my pets on a professional dog circuit and always check pet policies before I make a reservation as I did in this case. My pets are well trained and well behaved and they stay enclosed in crates and are not left unattended in a room ever. This behavior and treatment by this particular La Quinta property's franchisee manager was not only insulting, abusive, and very publicly humiliating since she said we had to leave the hotel and called me a liar in front of other guests waiting to check in, but completely unprofessional, unbusinesslike and unlike anything I have ever experienced in staying with La Quinta frequently over the last fifteen years. If the corporation wants to maintain its reputations with its most loyal customers they should not sell franchises to persons who do not abide by their normal guest policies and they should take swift punitive actions against those who claim they are following La Quinta policy but are actually engaging in discriminatory and rude behavior toward the company's most faithful customers and getting away with it.
