34 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I brought my son to stay here while was serving as a Page for the House of Representatives at the Capitol Building in Montgomery. It is a strictly enforced rule that pages not have any electronic devices at any time during their work day. So we did what we felt was safe and left his phone in the room. When he got off from work that day we returned to the room so he could change and we were going to dinner to celebrate. Upon leaving he went to get his cell phone from where he left it and it was not there! We naturally assumed that it had fallen while cleaning and I began to call it. I CONTINUED TO CALL IT UNTIL someone answered! When we left the room had not been cleaned yet and when we returned it had. I immediately went to the front desk and reported the incident. Needless to say they were less than helpful and could not understand why I wanted to leave the facility. I explained to them that I did not feel safe and that I was not going to pay for the night before. At first this was a definate no "because I had already slept there" No joke! Anyways in the end I am still not getting any return phone calls from ANYONE in management, the corporate office is NOTHING but voice mails, they so graciously did not charge my card for the terrible one night stay, and they paid for my night's stay in the new Hotel that I moved to. Let me add that I did not get to the new Hotel until 10:00 that evening because we had to wait on the police, file a report, argue with the manager that I had not left it at a restraunt (I had not been anywhere but to the capitol and back), and finally at 9:00 we got to have dinner. I honestly would stay in my car rather than this Hotel. I now am trying to contact corporate (which I had to almost hire a PI to get the number) to be reimbursed for the cell that was stolen.

I was disappointed with what this hotel had to offer for the price. The non-smoking room where I stayed smelled like smoke, the service desk was unattended when I needed it, the breakfast items were stale, and I had to deal with being locked out of ...
