La Quinta Inn Miami Airport North Hotel

It was located close to the conference site. I liked the pleasant, clean room and the good breakfast.

It was a terrible experience. The hotel was dirty and the staff was unfriendly.

They had a shuttle service from the airport and to the cruise center.

We booked this when it was listed as a 2.5 star hotel. After reading these reviews, we were very apprehensive. But we were pleasantly surprised that the rooms were clean and freshly painted. We didn't see any girly bars. The hotel is sandwiched between a McDonald's and Wendy's in an industrial area away from the airport.

The beds were clean and soft and the room was quieter than expected. I didn't hear planes until early morning. The pool was clean and the staff was very friendly. They did allow you to park your car there for your trip or cruise for free. But we elected to park at the airport for the increased security. We didn't see a security guard. We liked our rooms #123 & 129, they weren't remotely located. They also re-keyed the locks when we checked in. It is definitely a 2 star hotel. I should also mention Hotwire contacted us and offered us a $50 refund as the star rating had been lowered from a 2.5 to 2. They also offered us a refund. I've had this experience with Hotwire before, they're very customer friendly.
