La Quinta Inn Detroit Warren Tech Center Hotel - Page 1

We stayed in this hotel 5 days in late July/ early August 2008. This hotel is in need of complete renovation. The hotel stinks(literally). We had to buy disinfectant spray and air freshner to make our stay tolerable. The carpet looks stained and worn. The wallpaper had been badly patched. In the shower, mildew stains were visible under the paint around the top of the stall. The exhaust fan in the bathroom had dust and hair coming out of it. The staff was friendly, but they seemed to be reluctant to maintain order of their guests. Several hotel guests decided to hang out under the portico at the hotel entrance, taking chairs outside from the breakfast area. They were being loud and were out past midnight. When I complained to the manager she said "I guess they are just enjoying the weather.". We had no problems about feeling safe and the housekeeping did a pretty good job.

We stayed there as part of our family vacation, and we were all very happy with our stay. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, the room was clean and in good condition. There was a nice pool, small but adequate. Continental breakfast was satisfying. This was our first stay at a La Quinta, and we would not only stay at this location again, but will look for La Quinta locations in the future.

Everything in this hotel was mediocre at best, the stench in our room was one that could be easily mistaken as dog feces. Let’s not forget the constant hum of motorists on the Hwy. I would not recommend this dirt hole to anyone!

We stayed at a Holliday Inn express last night, which was the same money and was infinitely better than this place. If I was able to give this place a negative number out of ten I would. Don’t waste your money go somewhere else.

The location was great for what I was there for. The manager was very helpful in anything I needed.

This hotel made me feel important: I was treated as I should have been. They were very helpful and friendly.

The room was quite humid, so the sheets felt wet. The walls were very soundproof as we had quite a few people in our suite, and we could not be heard in the hallway.
