We have done alot of traveling and stayed at many hotels. But this LaQuinta in Southgate, Mi has to be the best by far! Everyone was very accommodating, friendly. The rooms were very clean, which you don't seem to find anymore. The room was decorated nicely and the beds were comfortable.
I like the fact that housekeeping has the head housekeeper check the rooms after the girls clean and then make a report on that room.
The continental breakfast was excellent, a nice variety of breakfast items, and the waffles were great!
We live in Florida and on our return visits we definitly will make LaQuinta our home base. We have spread the word to our friends in Michigan and Florida about our pleasant stay at LaQuita. Thanks to all. Mary & Al

My husband and I needed a place to stay with our Black Lab for one night in the Southgate/Taylor area. La Quinta was everything that we expected and more.
Their staff bent over backwards to help us understand how the town was laid out, being that we were from Indiana. The room was very clean and accommodating. Their housekeeping staff was friendly, although we were in need of nothing. The lighting was very good. I was so glad that the local phone calls were free, as we needed to use it quite frequently.
The General Manager was so nice and went out of her way to help me find something on the internet that I needed to find. The breakfast was out of this world for a deluxe continental breakfast. All the food was the proper temperature and fresh. We will need to go back in the near future and when we do, we will definitely be staying at the La Quinta, Southgate.

The guy who runs the breakfast bar is a jerk. If you go here and see an old man that has greasy hair, I would love if you made a mess at the breakfast bar like I did, so I can watch this guy clean it up. Otherwise, they have a great staff.
I liked it because it was clean and the rooms are fairly recently redone. The staff was friendly. It is not a fancy place, but clean and the beds are comfortable. Location was perfect. Easy on and off the expressway...less than a block away.
