61 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I have frequented this LaQuinta on a few occasions. on the 14th of November, 07, I was asked to present my debit/credit card to hold a room , even though I was already there. Upon my leaving the next day I expressly told the clerk not to charge the card, and I paid cash. She went ahead and charged the card. Double whammy to my checking account. I checked with my bank via phone and was told that yes indeed it did post and would be debited from account. I gave this information to the desk clerk, who proceeded to tell me that no it was not charged and continued to argue with me. She made no effort to check with my bank (as I suggested and the bank rep on the phone) .She did not.. I finally gave up in exhaustion and ate the financial loss.
On a different note, terrible water pressure in bath room facilities.. No complimentary items left there. had to ask ans waited 3 hours to get shampoo. It goes on and on.. Watch your money.. and stay away.. They do not do what they say.

What a great value! Located close to Downtown and within walking distance to great restaurants. The rooms were clean and neat, good free breakfast and very nice staff. Priced well too! I liked it.
