Horrible
Beware of the morning breakfast served. The yogurt served had expired for more than 3 weeks and the manager claims these were just part of a bad restocking check.

We were sooo impressed with everything at this hotel. Would have suggested leaving the breakfast on for a longer amount of time. Not all people awake at day break, so 10 o'clock was a bit too early to take all the food off the bar. Other than that, everything was wonderful!

Excellent
I truly enjoyed my stay at this La Quinta, as did my fellow travelers on our tour bus. Rooms were ready and clean when we arrived on day 1, and again every evening when we returned from a day of sightseeing. Especially enjoyed the hearty...
We had no complaints about the facilities or service. They lowered our price to what we thought it said when we made a reservation. The bed were comfortable and the breakfast had lots of selection.

Nicely refurbished hotel (don't look for the usual white building with blue trim--seems to be an Aztec gold color now) in the west burbs of Chicago. The front desk personnel were friendly and efficient. Check-in took only a minute or two. They even called our room a few minutes after check-in asking if everything was OK. No other property in the area matched the $94.00 rate that included a continental breakfast with hot items (bacon, eggs, English muffins, even real butter and jelly). The bacon was good quality and well cooked. You could even make waffles with an iron and fresh batter--no toaster waffles here). The usual cold cereals, sweet muffins, bananas, milk and fruit juices were also available. There was no need to go away hungry. The eating area was clean and well furnished. Our King Room was large, nicely furnished, very clean and comfortable. The bath was also very clean and roomy. Again, the place seemed to have been recently renovated. There was brand new carpeting in our room and hallway. The stock photo of the King Room is exactly the way our room looked. There was even a newspaper at the door each morning. It's quite a drive to the City but it didn't cost $250--$300 a night. We had no complaints--stay here! (the only negative...study the location and have a good detailed map. The given address "Midwest Rd" is also listed and posted on street signs as "Summit Rd" ).

The hotel was clean and comfortable. They allowed pets, which was important. They were in an excellent location, easy to get to from the highway and with lots of restaurants and other services nearby. We did reserve a room with a microwave and a refrigerator and we did not get this. However, the price was no different without the microwave and the refrigerator and we decided we did not really need them, so we never mentioned that to hotel personnel. We did request extra pillows and they arrived within minutes of calling the front desk. The continental breakfast in the morning was excellent! We highly recommend it.
The hotel staff spoke pleasantly to us whenever we encountered them on the property. When we did request something, they were prompt and responsive. They were concerned that our stay was pleasant on check out.
I am very likely
to return to the La Quinta Inn Chicago Oakbrook Terrace.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Mediocre
I chose this hotel in part because they had a fitness room. Fitness room sign said "open 6am to 10pm", so at 6am I went to the fitness room and started my workout (treadmill run). About 20 minutes later the front desk clerk came in and asked me if ...
