53 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
My husband and I took a pleasure trip to La Jolla and wasn't quite sure where to stay. This is a fantastic location. A block from the ocean, within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, museum. The free continental breakfast with danish, muffins, oj, coffee, and LA Times, was especially nice. The only thing lacking is a pool, but with the ocean being a block away, it wasn't really missed. We enjoyed our stay and will rebook when visiting again.

My boyfriend and I went on a romantic getaway and found this hotel through the internet. We absolutely loved the location and the staff! The hotel is perfectly situated right in the heart of La Jolla and there is plenty to do. The front desk helped us with our laundry and a list of restaurant recommendations in the area. We've already mentioned this to our friends and family and plan on coming back!

It is an old structure with modest updating. It is convenient to town, eating places and shopping. They serve modest morning coffee and pastry.
They knew why we were staying there. They remembered our names whenever in the office. They made sure we were aware of refreshments. They gave directions to restaurants.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the La Jolla Inn.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

For the money, this is probably the best you're going to get at a reasonable (for La Jolla) price. Amenities aren't that great...no pool, continental breakfast is a little understated but Starbucks and other coffee shops are just around the corner....
