The La Farge Perry House, circa 1860, was the former home of the American artist John La Farge and his wife, Margaret Perry La Farge, niece of Commodore Matthew Perry. The rooms have been meticulously restored and updated with beautiful bathrooms, handmade bed linens, and a charm true to the time period to reflect the lives of the historical people who once inhabited the inn. Guests are made to feel at home as the entire inn is available for special occasions. Included with the stay, a homemade, yet gourmet breakfast is prepared by a chef daily, as well as petit fours, cookies, tea and lemonade for refreshment in the afternoon.

The management was not cooperative. We asked to move (not cancel)our reservation due to a massive snow storm that hit the east coast. We were more than willing to visit the following weekend. The management gave us every excuse in the book as to...
I went to the LaFarge Perry House on my honeymoon, and it was wonderful. It was impeccably maintained, in both the public areas and in the guest rooms. We stayed in the Oliver Hazard Perry room, which was very spacious and comfortable, with...
