Sulfur Dioxide warnings have shut schools in worst areas ... whole of Kona and resorts above the airport are just awful ... all owing to adverse wind conditions from the volcano currently belching big time ... civil defense warnings are a common daily occurrence .... if you can delay your visit, you should ... if you can't be prepared to cough your way around the big island ... if you can change your visit to Maui or Kaui ... that would be the thing to do ...
