47 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

Never in my 47 years of travel have I come across a place as bad as this! I understood we were to get a smoking room which was all that was left but the room was actually smoking! The room was right over a bar/nightclub that had live karaoke going on until 2:00 am and the second hand smoke wafted through our room all afternoon and night. On a trip to my car to retrieve something I was accosted by a bar patron (drunk) begging me for a jump for his car! Vary scary! The room not only smelled hideous but was disgusting, the carpet, the bed covers, the bathroom (only 1 towel, front desk asked us to come down and get more!) there were flies in the room and the chair was something I wouldn't even set my luggage in. After driving 11 hours my daughter and I were able to get 2 hours of sleep waking up congested and everything smelling of cigarette smoke! Thank goodness we were able to find a room at a motel 6! Yes, a motel 6 that was not only well run but super clean! The Management at the KOKO INN was unwilling to compensate us in anyway for our miserable stay. I have not only contacted the health department but the BBB also! Take my advise please, the Koko Inn is the NOGO INN! Be warned don't stay at the KOKO!

42 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

My night here was the worst night in any hotel that I have ever been at in my entire life. We were put over a night club/local bar hangout, that rocked with the most hideous singing until 2:00 AM. The smoke in the bar wafted all through our rooms, giving us and all of our clothing and suitcases that lovely "ash tray" scent that everyone loves to smell. I knew we had to get a smoking room, as that was all that was left, but this room was actually "smoking" while we were in it...By the time the George Strait wannabe was finished with his "concert" and I was finally able to sleep, I got a full two hours of rest, after driving 8 hours to get to Lubbock, before having to get up to go to my appointment the following morning. I had originally booked two nights, but spent all of the evening after we arrived trying to find another hotel, but due to parents weekend at the college, and a big football game, there were no other hotels available. Thankfully, the next day we were able to find another hotel for the second night. I never thought I would be happy to stay at a Motel 6, but the Koko Inn made the Motel 6 look like a 5 star hotel! The Koko Inn was also filthy, with dirty pillowcases that had make-up and hair all over them, sickening! My name for the place is the "NoGo Inn". I give it two thumbs down all the way around. It is also in a bad location with weirdos walking around the parking lot at all hours, and a guy sleeping in his truck in the parking lot, maybe it was the "singer" who was too drunk to drive home from the "concert" the night before.

From the moment I walked through the door I felt welcomed. The entire staff went out of their way to greet me. The hotel is an older hotel but the rooms were nice & clean. The food in the restaurant was just great! I felt I really got my moneys worth. I will be back!

50 year old male with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

I have stayed in this hotel for many years and it has been clean and affordable. It has a great pool area in an atrium but it is not fancy. It is just very functional. The restaurant makes as good a home cooked breakfast that you can find.

This hotel made me feel practical: It is a clean room with a good shower and a good place to eat breakfast. They have super service in the restaurant.

I am very likely to return to the Koko Inn.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I liked the fact that they allowed us to bring my little dog. The staff was friendly, the place was clean and the water warm.

I am very likely to return to the Koko Inn.
