Knights Inn South Motel - Page 1

I was afraid to take my shoes off - the carpet was filthy and you could see accumulation and cob webs along the walls. Also, did not smell very good.

HELL IS IN THE KNIGHTS INN......... On August 25th I took may family to a hotel after we lost power. I picked the Knights Inn because they took dogs and the rates sounded good. When I walked into my room I feel into a state of shock. White walls with stains, mildew and holes; nasty floors that looked like the walls, the beds had to of been twenty years old with god only knows what on them, the shower had mold and spiderwebs. Then my what I consider the icing on the cake, THE SMOKE DETECTOR WAS SITTING ON THE TABLE. You can still see the exposed wires sticking out of the walls, safe eh? This was only one room, the other one was worse and Yahoo on gives me 4000 characters.

Never stay there! If the option is sleep on the street or at the Knight Inn, find a bench. We left 15 minutes after check in and then filled a complaint with the Knights Inn 1-800 number.

We were very happy with our stay. We were there for my grandmother’s funeral. We had several families staying there and when we let the hotel know, they put all our rooms together, except the smokers and they put them in the closest smoking rooms available. The rooms were clean and kept up. The only thing they ever disappoint us with is their continental breakfast. It is nasty. The donuts are old and dried out and they don't have anything else. Other than that, they are fine, have reasonable prices, are clean, and the outdoor pool is great in the summer. We have four kids. We always stay here when we go to Michigan. It is in the middle of all my relatives and close to activities like Kellogg’s Cereal City, the zoo, and other various locations.

This hotel made me feel welcome: We were there for a funeral and all the family's from out of town stayed there, and when they found out we were all together they put all our rooms together except the smokers and they put them in the closest smoking room, and they were very friendly and helpful when they could be.

It could have been cleaner than it was and the cost was way too high for Battle Creek if you ask me.

The cleanliness was sub par. I used my own sanitizing wipes to clean commonly touched areas. The interior needs to be repainted and some repairs need to be made. The cost was cheap, though.
