The Knights Inn Santa Cruz is set in the ideal location for the vacationing family. We are within walking distance of the beach and Boardwalk amusement park and within a 1.5 mile radius of the Historical Business and Downtown area. We are just 10 minutes from UC Santa Cruz. Knights Inn Santa Cruz has all nonsmoking rooms. Each room has a refrigerator and microwave. We provide a complimentary continental breakfast. Our outdoor pool is open during the summer season. Sorry, no pets allowed.

The only reason I rated this dump a "1" is because there is no zero! Looks are deceiving on this one, although it's close to the Boardwalk, you definitely won't enjoy your stay. You're better off staying in your car for free. The staff was rude (with a deceiving smile on their face), the room was located in a noisy location so forget getting much needed rest, the lock to the outside door was broken, so was the one in the bathroom. They do not provide toiletries, the towels are scratchy and hurt, there were stains on the sheets, they don't provide an iron, and they are completely unwilling to make you feel like you should when you're on a trip. Never again will I go there... I wouldn't go back even if I got unlimited stays for the rest of my life for free. They should be sued for false advertisement!

The room was very shabby and needed paint, some lamps didn't work (all were chipped), there was no hair dryer, no shampoo, the towels were tiny and scratchy and the room had a funky smell.
The owners told us we'd have to pay $10 for a parking...

I liked this place because between sun and thursday it is very cheap to stay there. It has a microwave and a refrigerator plus the regular cable and phone ammenities. It was clean and the location was great only 10 minutes from the metro...

I tried to make a reservation by phone. The woman I talked to was very short with me and wanted to charge me more then the price listed on this website. I was put on hold for several minutes and decided to look elsewhere.
