Immediate action necessary to protect people from health threats! Mold! Please Help! Knights Inn, Do Not stay!
This is the most horrific hotel experience I have ever had the displeasure of encountering. I have photographs! although this experience will be permanently imprinted in my head for many years to come, unfortunately.
11/30-12/02/07 11/30/07-arrived 2am tired. 1 employed assisted while the other watched U TUBE. Room#1(166)-door key card didn't work. called 407-345-5551.no answer, UTUBE was more important, maybe..drove back to office Room#2(273)MOLD hit you when you opened door--BREATHTAKING in the worst way--my husband and I have asthma, he a recent MRSA victim and is in serious risk of coming in contact with germs...staph. MOLD was so strong it sent us into an asthma attack. The phone cord was yanked from the wall inoperable. drove back to office while enduring asthma attack, employee unconcerned..other one STILL viewing UTUBE...explained mold, phone..still not concerned assigned Room#3 (270) 2 doors down...Walked in still smelled musty/moldy but not as bad. exhaustion has overcome our bodies especially after asthma attack. husband could not drive further to find anything-checked a/c filter 2 inches thick of crud--he had to clean it after having asthma attack. hoping air would become cleaner?..bathroom did not have a shower head, paint peeling off inside tub, NASTY-would not wash my dog in that tub. mold around all door hinges, visible in ceiling everywhere, in pillows(not pillowcases), in carpet, in the dresser drawers....Kept clothes on..stayed 3 hrs on our own pillows. Informed front office of departure/refusal to pay, we were informed hotelcorp.com would have to handle. Please, help. This hotel has ruined your company's good name in our minds forever. We travel frequently and have never experienced such life threatening conditions. please help future inhabitants of that hotel by inspecting it for health issues and demanding a cleaner establishment for the future namesake. I have worked in health care regulation for 10 yrs, my husband painting contractor 27 yrs who deals with mold issues in painting on a weekly basis. I am reporting this business to the DBPR(Dept of Business & Professional Regulation) and the DOH (Dept of Health) via formal written complaint with supporting photographs. If you are local, please go by and view the room conditions and assist in spreading the word. These rooms are located on the farest end and are being rented daily. I have served Florida citizens for over 10 yrs and this is a serious health issue which could cause DEATH. Death associated with the Knights Inn name would be most unfortunate. By the way, I was still charged $80 for the 2 night stay by hotelscorp.com for which I am still unable to speak with "UPPER MANAGEMENT". I wonder if they exist. Any assistance in spreading this word for the health and well being of hotel customers would be greatly appreciated! Do not stay in Knights Inn nor make travel reservations through HotelsCorp.com. This customer is yet to be served, but quickly charged Signed "Molded in Orlando,Florida"
