64 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

FIRST room had a terrible smell; drawer front were hanging; dirty beige couch should have been placed on curb for pick up; TV only had one channel and was in spanish; a/c had even worse smell than the room; windows were a good 50-60 inches off ground. SECOND we were placed in was about like the first - a hodge podge of rickety blond and dark wood furniture which should have been "dumpster bound"; dresser drawer fronts were partially hanging on; shower head was installed for people 5" & under; 2 towels/2 washclothes/one handtowel; beds had no blankets-only sheet and spread; exterior security door was off the top hinge and being held up by a barrel which was propped against it; cats were abundant & I soon learned why as a large rodent was seen in the hall; three lamps in the room did not work; spider webs were hanging from the ceiling; a/c was either hot or cold-no in between; water was the same-either hot or cold-not able to mix; they have rooms that are rented by the week. Would like to see these if mine was an "upscale room". The next day and in the light of day, I canceled my reservation, loaded my car and within 5 minutes on the cell had a room reservration at the LaQuinta located on N. W. 19th (just off I-30) in Grand Prairie. The LaQuinta was clean, neat, had coffee maker, iron, ironing Board and amenities located in the room, not available at the desk; continental breakfast in the lobby each morning; and lastly it was in a more secure and safer area. In all of my years of travel and using hotels/motels I can say this experience was one I will not soon forget. Actually on a scale of 1-10 I rate it a MINUS, MINUS. Stay away - far away.

41 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I hated everything about this place. I had to change rooms 3 different times,1st room had a smell like i have never smelled before and never want to smell again,2nd room ac didn't work the room we finally settled in the cable didn't work but that was the least of the problems. at 2:30 am we had uninvited drunk guest come through our locked adjoining room door-very very unsafe!! maybe that was what the smell was in the first room,a dead uninvited guest under the bed!

the only person to come and check out the room was a younger kid who complained about being tired because he had been working since 6 am and because his sinuses was clogged.all the mngmnt said was "oh really" not even an i'm sorry. NEVER AGAIN!!!

25 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for business

I was picked up by their shuttle at 2:30 from my company location. The driver smelled like he was drinking. Didn’t help me unload and quickly disappeared.

The halls smelled of cat urine, and the room carpet was dirty and sticky. The TV was on the floor, and it was broken. The mattress had the springs poking thru the mattress. I poked myself, but at least didn’t go through my skin. I skipped a shower today because the bathroom was worse than a cheap lousy hotel. Horrible, horrible, and this was in a nonsmoking room.

It was good value for the money. The great staff and manager really made us feel at home.

This hotel made me feel content: Their employees were friendly and warm.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Knights Inn Irving.
I might recommend it to friends.
