Kings Inn San Diego Hotel

There is BLACK MOLD for sure even thou it's not visible, may be in carpet or ventilation system. Since I am very sensitive to it, my asthma attack started in 10 min after I entered the room. We had to move out immediately. My husband , who is in good health, was coughing for a few hours even after we moved out. We checked another room, but the smell was the same .

The hotel is clean and well priced. Parking is no problem and the restaurant for breakfast is good, but the dinner restaurant there has a very limited menu.

I was very happy with the hotel that we booked. We only needed it for two nights so that we could take the kids to Sea World. The location is great, the restaurant is fantastic, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the price was great. You can't ask for better than that. The mattresses were a little firm and there was a bit of a musty smell(we got it out with Febreeze). Other than those two things, the hotel was perfect.

It was well located on Hotel Circle and the Waffle Place was fantastic. I did not like that they lacked elevators for upper level access. Also, the hotel staff failed to properly enter our entire reservation. We booked two rooms, but they only put us down for one room while selling out the rest of the hotel. It was a nasty situation with the night manager that did not need to happen. The general manager fixed the situation the next morning, but we were stressed and angry. We had few other choices, as all of the hotels in the area were sold out, and the night manager refused to accommodate both families by putting us up at the same hotel.

We stumbled upon this hotel by accident after we made a reservation for someplace online that was not what was promised.

The staff was courteous, kind, and extremely helpful. The rooms were clean. This is not a luxury hotel, but everything in it makes you feel very at home. You even get a welcome package upon check in. It offers a AAA discount, which was great.

It's an older building, only two floors, with a nice heated pool and hot tub. The Mexican restaurant on site, The Amigo Spot had great, inexpensive food. The best surprise was the Spanish guitar/flamenco group playing there.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, as it is close to the airport, downtown, Old Town and the highways. It's located close to tons of other hotels, too.
