Okay
pros: Great location and staffRoom was adequate though on the small side. Breakfast included was minimal, an improvement would be a buffet. Ordered french toast for a fee, not worth it. For breakfast or happy hour, if it should rain there just is...

Mediocre
The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The building is tired and without charm. The inn is tired and in bad need of fixing-up. It lacks the charm and ambiance one associates with Charleston. Our room was grungy and tacky - from the large spot ...

The Kings Courtyard Inn staff went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable. There was a lot of morning noise (due to construction) outside the room my husband and I were initially staying in, and I reported this to the staff. I was given...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend and it was fabulous! It was in walking distance to everything and the staff was very helpful. Also the continental breakfast is a nice treat as well as the complimentary wine 24/7 in the lobby and wine...
62 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We were very disappointed with the hotel. The pictures that appeared on the Internet did not accurately depict the hotel.
Though the staff was friendly, the room was small, and poorly designed. The television reception was poor on major channels and was placed in a location that made viewing uncomfortable.
The water pressure in our room on the second floor was weak. The room was dusty. Parking was provided in a cramped lot. I had to ask to have a bell boy take my bags to my room. The concierge service was poor. We asked for a list of inexpensive casual restaurants. The restaurants suggested were expensive and gourmet. Though we like fine dining, we were not ready for a big meal after eight hours of driving.
66 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We stayed for a week in March of 2005. Quarters were not very comfortable, the bed was terrible as were shower and bath facilities.
Breakfast was minimal to say the least, they ran out of yogurt two or three times. The staff was pleasant enough though. The brochure/website pictures did not accurately depict the hotel. Old, in this case, was not charming, nor worth the price.
