The King George Hotel - Union Square offers the perfect San Francisco location. Our hotel shares sidewalks with fine dining, world class shopping, theatre, Moscone Convention Center, Convention Hotels and San Francisco's world famous cable car line to Fisherman's Wharf. You will immediately notice our comfort and warmth. A tradition of charm and personal service have been our hallmark since we first opened our doors in 1914. Our amenities are distinctly up-to-date, including complimentary in-room wired DSL access, but our hospitality and our rates are wonderfully old-fashioned.In the heart of downtown the King George Hotel is just three blocks from the Powell Street BART station, which now services both Oakland (OAK) and San Francisco (SFO) International Airports. We look forward to making the King George Hotel your home away from home while you are a guest in San Francisco.

I enjoyed my trip to San Francisco but the hotel was barely adequate. It had no air conditioning and the entire hotel looked old and cheap. It needs major renovation. In spite of it`s poor state, it was quite expensive. I wish I had booked into the...

Friendly, helpful staff at an excellent location. Room was a bit small, but I don't spend much time in my room while in San Francisco. Caught an excellent music festival and slept very well. Excellent location, restaurants and bars aplenty.

The hotel is in a nice location. The rooms were small, but very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I would definitly stay there again.
My husband and I booked a very bad hotel in SF a few years ago which we had to leave and promptly. There we were stuck in SF with no place to stay and our luggage in tow. I circled the block of the "bad hotel" and found the king george....
25 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
The location was great because it was right in the middle of Union Square, so all of the shops were surrounding us. The service was great because they were very attentive.
The set up of the room was very comfortable. The bed was cozy and the chairs had a lot of cushion to them.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the King George Hotel.
I might recommend it to friends.
