The King George Hotel - Union Square offers the perfect San Francisco location. Our hotel shares sidewalks with fine dining, world class shopping, theatre, Moscone Convention Center, Convention Hotels and San Francisco's world famous cable car line to Fisherman's Wharf. You will immediately notice our comfort and warmth. A tradition of charm and personal service have been our hallmark since we first opened our doors in 1914. Our amenities are distinctly up-to-date, including complimentary in-room wired DSL access, but our hospitality and our rates are wonderfully old-fashioned.In the heart of downtown the King George Hotel is just three blocks from the Powell Street BART station, which now services both Oakland (OAK) and San Francisco (SFO) International Airports. We look forward to making the King George Hotel your home away from home while you are a guest in San Francisco.

The room was very tiny and the bed was too hard. It is a very old hostel and needs some modernizing, but it was clean and the service was very good. The people were helpful and pleasant. They made excellent recommendations for places to eat.
The location put us close to the heart of the city. We easily walked everywhere until our feet hurt. All staff was so courteous and helpful. The updated decor was charming and tastefull. We loved the newly painted rooms and hallways - fresh new...

Okay
Hotel is a very beautiful hotel in the center of San Francisco. The only thing I've not liked is that the rooms are very small and street noise was too loud.
