The location was great because it was right in the middle of Union Square, so all of the shops were surrounding us. The service was great because they were very attentive.
This hotel made me feel comfortable: The set up of the room was very comfortable. The bed was cozy and the chairs had a lot of cushion to them.
I am
somewhat likely
to return to the King George Hotel.
I
might recommend it to
friends.

The location was convenient. My room was clean. The check in staff attempted to charge additional money while we checked in. I have already paid for the room on Expedia. The check in staff lied to us, and others staying there about room availability. He stated that there was many twin bed rooms at first, gave us single bed, and then stated there were no more twin rooms and we needed to pay more for an upgrade. We felt taken advantage of and it left a bad impression of our trip.
I am
not likely
to return to the King George Hotel.
I
would not recommend it to
friends.

The location was great for everything we wanted to do. The staff was very helpful in answering questions.
This hotel made me feel excited: They helped us book a tour that we were very excited to go on so that we could see as much of the city as possible in the short time that we had.
I am
very likely
to return to the King George Hotel.
I
would definitely recommend it to
friends.

The King George Hotel in downtown San Francisco has a very convenient location near the theatre district and shopping around Union Square. The hotel itself, however, is less accommodating. The building is very old, with slow elevators, and steep, narrow staircases that are not friendly to women wearing high heels. Likewise, the bathroom in my hotel suite was out of date and had rickety windows over looking dirty rooftops. The in-room internet access was also inconvenient, but the wireless hotspot in the attractive English-style tearoom and bar almost made up for it. Furthermore, the concierge had helpful advice about dining, transportation and entertainment.
I am
somewhat likely
to return to the King George Hotel.
I
might recommend it to
friends.
