Kimpton Hotel Monaco Portland

The hotel had a very well trained staff who called me by name often. The front desk staff was especially warm and friendly. The bellman service was good and the room was large.

This lovely hotel is located just one block from Pioneer Square. The rooms were clean and cheerful; a beautifully renovated classic old building. Business and leisure travelers mingled in early morning for complimentary coffee in the grand living room off the lobby with lovely music, a beautiful fireplace and warm fire. In the afternoon the hotel hosts a lovely wine reception in the same location.

I traveled on business but later learned a Saks and Nordstrom were within walking distance. Portland is a uniquely beautiful, welcoming city with excellent transit system. I want to go back as a tourist and will stay at this hotel.

Nice place. It is a Kimpton Hotel and they do a great job there. The parking is a bit expensive at $25 per night and there is not much parking around to try to get around the fee.

I really liked the fact that their hotel restaurant used OpenTable for their reservation process. What a great way to make dinner reservations.
