This place bills itself as a resort experience by owner, Steve Hunt. Here's what we experienced when we stayed there:
Towels stained and mismatched
Windows filthy
Living room couch was dirty, with years of grime
All furniture worn and outdated
Tables in one of the bedrooms were bubbled from moisture
Noisy bedroom fan in the back bedroom
Freeway noise
Private lake is a shared lake, with construction across the lake EVERY DAY
The exterior of the place is lovely. But this place is not worth the rate. The interior is dated and worn. The kitchen is done in a 70s decor, with cabinets so small that dinner plates make it impossible to close one of the cabinets. One of the drawers from the kitchen was missing. The kitchen sink had loads of rust. Pretty much everything -- from the coffee maker to the cutlery -- was stuff I can't imagine would sell at a garage sale. Hardly a resort experience.
There are so many nice places to stay in Kauai. Steer away from this one.
