Key Largo Resort at Manatee Bay

The hotel has been completely re-done. It is one of the most beautifully decorated modern rooms I have ever stayed in. All brand new. Little outdoor bar with a great gal Iris that works it. Manatees come right up to the dock and little slough by the pool. The grounds are pristine! Outdoor bar, Pool, sand and lounge chairs, beautiful coastline. Will be back again no doubt!

Poorly Run Hotel & should not be calling itself a resort. The Resteraunt & Bar have been closed down by the City, so all you get is a room and a pool. The pool was way too small - definately not a 'resort' pool. I can see why Doubletree kicked this resort out of their Franchise! Although the room appeared to be newly renovated - who cares considering it was dirty, the hotel had no amenities,and the staff was horrible. Try the Marriott, Holiday Inn, or anywhere else. Also, despite what they advertise, NO rooms have a water view - they all face the wrong direction! Way overpriced!

While the room was clean and relatively new, the staff cleaned us out, too. Don't leave any valuables in your room at this place! But do enjoy the beach and nice pool. Although the website referenced a gourmet restaurant, it was not open during our stay.

The private beach makes this average hotel into a lovely place to spend a couple of days. I have visited Key Largo several times, and always stay here, the ground floor beach-side rooms are a must. Also a fantastic spot for manatees.

The location was easy to get to from the Florida mainland if you knew what you were looking for. We missed the entrance the first time around because it was hard to see. Coming up from the south you have to pull a U turn to get back to the resort because of the way the road is set up. The resort was being renovated when we stayed, so the condition of the facilities was as good as could be expected. There was a nice beach area, replete with wildlife. The pool was nice, but we did not use it other than to dip our toes. The rooms were comfortable and there were fresh baked cookies, which is always a plus!
