Location, Rooms, Restaurant, Service, Rates...all excellent. We have stayed at several hotels in Cambridge and Boston but like the Kendall the best, having found it by walking by it in a previous trip.
Convenient location next to the MIT campus, near a "T" stop so you can get to downtown Boston or to Harvard in about 10 minutes. Restaurants (Legal Seafoods, etc.) and shops are all around.
The rooms were new with all the amenities and about the cleanest we have ever seen. The lobby and restaurant are in a real firehouse built in the 1890's and the rooms are in a new building attached to the rear, so you get both century old ambiance and modern plumbing! The included breakfast is absolutely terrific!
The front desk people were friendly and the manager was very nice and very helpful. Rates were a good value for the area. We have paid a lot more for a lot less at other hotels. We enjoyed the Kendall very much and recommend it as an outstanding choice for a Boston hotel.
